What is CompTIA A+ Core 2?
A+ Core 2 (220-1202) is the second of two exams required to earn the CompTIA A+ certification. It focuses on operating systems, security, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures. You must pass both Core 1 and Core 2 to earn the full A+ certification.
Do I need to pass Core 1 before Core 2?
CompTIA does not require you to pass Core 1 first, but most students prepare for Core 1 before Core 2 since the hardware knowledge supports the OS and troubleshooting content in Core 2. We can build a combined study plan for both.
What operating systems are covered?
Core 2 covers Windows (10 and 11), macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. The heaviest weight is on Windows, which represents the majority of helpdesk and support environments.
What are the hands-on labs?
